Personally, NixOS cured my distro-hopping. I run it on my laptop, desktop, and all my servers, and I've never looked back. Honestly I couldn't imagine using anything else. The documentation is still pretty poor in some spots thoug

I concur with this wild guess. ChatGPT will always set the chat topic to _something_, and so I presume when given zero input it chooses whatever tokens it happens to have conjured up.

I have the same problem. The only viable neo-shell in my eyes would have to be 100% Bash compatible anyway, so what's the point?

Sounds like a bug with the Nix package, it should be bundling SDL2 as a buildInput if Carp depends on it. I'd open a issue at nixos/nixpkgs. As the other comment mentions, installing pkg-config and sdl2 alongside carp might work,

The implementation, outcome, use-case, and characteristics of panics are all very different from exceptions. The only marked similarity between the two is that they both interrupt program execution (and in different ways). But I feel as if

Honestly I've never had package management cause me issues in Zig. It's very simple to integrate a vendored library into a project vs. other languages. Just clone the repo and add a line to your build.zig. It's actually a lit

I completely agree with GP in that Elixir isn't really _designed_ for CLI tools, but I agree with you that it does happen to be great for it. I don't doubt there are some facilities it lacks that would make ones life easier, but o

These aren't precisely the specified goals of Nix, but things I appreciate as a consequence of its design: (1) If a build works on any machine, it will work on yours. Package builds are isolated and reproducible. For example, set
