I am a regular IOS5 Google Maps transit directions user in Minneapolis/St. Paul. Google Maps transit is far superior here to HopStop, which seems to think we have a subway. Looking forward to testing this new app, so I can upgrade to IOS6.

You should consider bringing your talents to a mission based non-profit. In many non-profits, half time employees are more common, and the pay will absolutely be less. You might also just find the work that much more meaningful.

This concept of Bootlegging[1], isn't "Google's" and dates back to the late 1960s. I always think of Post-it notes as the pre-digital poster child for this sort of internal, yet personal, innovation. [1] - http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Boot

Sadly it totally does for me. And while this is different problem, Word on OS X still seems to think Copy-Paste is a computationally complex problem on par with decoding the human genome.

That level of detail in elevation data generally requires LIDAR and that definitely doesn't exist for all municipalities, and is pretty expensive where it does.
