I look forward to food, but not paying $8 a day to eat lunch from one of two crappy places I can easily get to from work. Nor the weight gain that comes from them. Obviously I could pack a lunch, but I hate that shit. If this could actually

Eh, I'm leading a project and the owner (non-technical) forced me to have people sign NDA's before I discussed it with them. I personally wouldn't have done it until I gave them actual access to the code. Keep in mind that it could be a com

Solved by uploading to an imgur-like service and producing a link that can be emailed/texted? Or something fancier?

Thanks, I think it's a great project with quite a bit of potential. You can see the progress at www.mykinapp.com if you're curious. It's in kind of rough shape at the moment, but coming along...

Oh, that blows. I guess I assumed it somehow knew I was in the US but would ask/figure out if you were elsewhere. You should probably throw them a message. I know someone who works there WAS creeping on this thread.

With a Show HN title and some openness to feedback+questions you should be fine. I think as long as you don't treat it as free advertising no one will complain.

It's plain and simple. My first instinct was "ugh, really?" because I don't like the design of the site to begin with. But then I realized... no one would ever ask me a question about the t-shirt, which is a big plus. Only people who freque

I often face those issues as well. Especially when you're part of communities that worship people that get a seemingly unrealistic amount of stuff done, or are unusually successful. My first bit of advice is to take a break. Forget start up

Really? I've not had any issues with the autocorrect. I agree that dismissing the auto correct can be annoying sometimes. I intend to hit the X and instead hit the word, so it corrects to that. However, I can type complete nonsense, a row o

Not really. Parts are cheap and most are bolt on. It's just a matter of preference, which is why all of these droid vs apple discussions are circle jerks.

Absolutely. I need my phone to work, be simple and reliable, not require much/any maintenance. Similarly, I prefer a nice car with a warranty that I don't have to worry about or have any hassle with. A jeep might be cheaper, and when it run

Yes, but that they needed to was my comment. Personally, even as a mobile developer, customizing my phone is not my hobby. I'd prefer a new foreign car that has certain limitations to a used Jeep that I can extend in any way I want.

No problem. My big problem with the tiered implementation is that it only really works until like 4 tiers deep. After that you have a long column of text. I haven't really found a solution for that except a "View replies" that pushes anothe

As someone who calls himself a "generalist" and claims it's the best thing in the world; you're probably on the right track here. I'm good at a wide variety of things, but I don't typically delve to deep into things. What does that mean? I'
