In that specific scenario, if the customers can't tell, I'd say the beyond meat option is better: still gives you the experience, the proteins, less cruelty and better for the environment. Win win to me. Unlike here the topic in q

I love my paper notebook to save everything automatically, I don't long for it to all disappear if I forget to press a button and give it a name.

Do you really long for that? It's been over 20 year with auto-save being pretty common, one has to adapt to the modern times, especially when it makes things better. I don't have to "remember to save my work" when I writ

I hear you. There was something special about the old days when programming was all about taking your time, thinking through every step, and truly understanding what you were building. I miss the days of punching cards — there was a certain

Well, if you don't see someone for over a span of a year then probably you're not too close anymore? Then I'd assume that if 1 person had a really good reason not to be physically around for the first few months, you wouldn&#

Duolingo is a pretty bad tool for learning a language, it's good to make you feel like you're learning though.

Same temperature, same product and vastly different result. Technically the same, practically not. I can do some of the most magnificent potatoes in an air frier, all that without a touch of oil.

I'd think about actioning the individual only if it was exactly the same issue every time (how did the same issues manage pass time and time again, didn't we learn anything as a team?). Otherwise I'm more in the mentality tha

Same! This topic gets me soo irritated. If someone is supposed an expert in a field (hence them being an interviewer) how can an average joe fool them into thinking they know more than they actually do during a conversation? Even now with L

The problem today is not that to get into FAANG you've got to jump through hoops and loops like a well-trained cage animal (aka fresh graduate) but that this is getting applied more and more to literally any startup under the sun, even

It sounds like you want sympathy but it just shows that some people just don't understand the power dynamics of an interview. I believe live coding is a scourge and we should get rid of it altogether. Get a tiny open ended project, whi

Sounds like there are some fundamental process/team issues going on. If a team cannot be trusted to deliver, superman always coming in to save the day shouldn't be the solution.

Yeah, code quality is marginally important if whatever QA/UAT process allowed that code to go to production. If "bad code" can make it to production it's usually the fault of the system as a whole, not the author.

Ridiculous, should we avoid vacations altogether as someone might end up drinking too much? Is that the way we decide how to set our society? Alcoholism is a different problem from workaholism.

It does make more sense to me though: of course I can have my cake and then eat it. But I can't eat it and still have it afterwards. So the order implies the temporality of the actions.

I'd love to hear what that is. So far, given my range of projects, I have seen it struggle with lower level mobile stuff and hardware (ESP32 + BLE + HID). For things like web (front/back), DB, video games (web and Unity), it does
