One comes from an orangutan because he wants to get it hard and please his fanbase and the other is because a specific company broke a law of a region. The two couldn't be more different than that. And I find it hard to believe your co

Upcloud (Finland) is great, I'd vouch for them. Supports lots of countries, affordable and the people there are super nice.

That's just isn't true. That's financial credit, social credit is more nefarious as you don't know what counts for or against you.

Or stop treating Android as Linux for mobile but rather Windows for mobile and finally start pushing and supporting a 3rd major alternative like we have on desktop/laptops. I would personally love to start contributing to a truly open

What a weird take, here we're discussing fighting the duopoly and hegemony of 2 US companies dictating what and how to use our own devices. Complaining about programming languages which allow me not to think of malloc bugs when making

But that's no the point here, a more similar point is to have the scuba diving manufacturer imposing which body of water you can use the device in. And if you decide to give the device a try in your own swimming pool or a random spot y

Not sure if you're genuinely asking because there are a dozen proven ways to verify identity or residency either digitally and physically without being locked down to 2 mobile OSes owned and controlled by 2 American companies.

How were you not aware of UK precedents in surveillance and blocking Internet connections before 6 months ago? In my books, the UK is the father of Orwellian censorship and surveillance, they just didn't get down to do it completely (y

All those points could be fixed with a wrapper "systemd2" but I definitely see your points. I like thinking of the minimum set of changes required to fix a problem and this could help, you probably could LLM most of it in less tha

Many but far from most. And part of the services provided by Steam is the multiplayer experience, so you definitely cannot expect to keep that without paying Steam, unless the developers want that too.

Still a for-profit company, wouldn't bet on this, even though I'd love it to be like this (that companies who have been doing good will continue to do good instead of increasing their profits). Been burnt too many times.

What is something which you find better doing in R than in another popular language? Not including its standard library.

I just want to balance the conversation, someone can say how good it is without reason, why not the opposite? I would love to hear how godot is better than Unity other than editor speed and being open source.
