The remarkable thing about his new theory, group selection is that to an outsider and a lay person, it sounds simpler and a lot more dynamic then the original kin selection theory. This is no crackpot prediction by someone who enjoys causin

Prototype was actually written by Sam Stephenson who these days works at 37signals and has been part of the Rails Core team since it's inception (read, before making prototype). Prototype is a stand alone library and predates jQuery by almo

The problem with math education is a lot more basic then everyone pretends: there are two variables, mastery and time and we made the wrong one static. This was a global decision born out of necessity. Because there aren't as many teachers

There are games that make more then a million dollars a day through the two major platforms. At this moment. Minecraft is incredible but the mobile platform is actually giving the blockbuster console titles a run for their money (literally)

Fair enough but both of them are highly technical people. Not programmers but that's not the yard stick that I put down here. Additionally it's not a good idea to use critical successes like that to extract any kind of lessons from. Groupon

That's silly. We are discussing a tech accelerator here. But even if I accept your rebuttal I'd like to see the amount of Plumbing businesses that are bootstrapped by people other then plumbers.

Kudos to the launch. The makeup of the founding team thing will be the make or break. I've barely seen a recent success story of a startup where less then 100% of the founders were technical. It used to be possible but I expect that times h

We have been using it for sessions (amongst tons of other stuff) at Shopify for half a year and found that we didn't have problems with increasing memory after we started setting expiration bits on the session keys.
