Not sure on all the details. Maybe it's only certain power companies. I know this did apply to a relative who was a home-owner in a city that generated it's own power, so maybe they have their own program different than normal. He

Thanks for the explanation. You're right. I wasn't aware of the full system. The parts I did know seemed like a shady loophole for bigger polluters to take advantage of. Thanks!

That's a good point. I didn't really think of that. It still feels a bit off, but that does help return some of the feel-goods back into buying solar :)

Slightly off topic... Interesting thing about solar in Utah (maybe everywhere? Not sure about the specifics): Utah gives every land owner pollution credits. They're allowed to pollute X units worth per year or something like that. Depe

Not sure of the name. Some mom-and-pop startup in Utah County. My wife saw a coupon or ad for them and decided to try it out.

We tried a local alternative to Blue Apron. They hand delivered to our doorstep. It was pretty well done and organized. Packaging didn't seem particularly wasteful to me. Might be worth checking around to see if anyone local is more fr

I think HumbleBundle could do it. They already have a store, they just have built it on Steam's platform and/or standalone apps. I don't think it'd be THAT difficult for them to pivot, would it?

Mine replied with a canned response basically saying, "thanks for caring! Our senator supports the FCC... blah blah" It was mildly insulting. The thing was clear they didn't even read it and assumed I was clueless.

I found that with the default theme on MacOs that you want to make the tabbar transparent and non-clickable. Otherwise it munges the titlebar.

That's what I do, even though I have remote control switches. The nice thing for me is when you're leaving the house and you can just turn off all the lights. Or you're laying down in bed and you can shutdown the whole house

Not in my experience. I think it's about managing expectations. You just have to be clear about what you mean with that individual. If that PM takes it to mean that then you need to find another way to communicate your message. I think

I like to say, "my gut says X days. But I'll have to get back to you." I think there's a lot value in having the conversation with the PM or manager or whomever in the moment. And being non-committal is frustrating for t

Yes. You use the new Moby to build your own distro using a yaml file and you can choose to use LinuxKit as the base. Then you can install additional items on top of it and it outputs various images types: IMG, iso, Google cloud images, etc.
