I was keeping an eye on perl6 for a long time, still do, still have 3+ RSS feeds that are perl6 related. But as a 'not workhorse language that is potentially worth learning' it shares space with Red http://www.red-lang.

Ever heard of XHTML 2.0? XForms was supposed to be a part of it and it did have support for REST stuff in the spec. Well the XForms spec itself is alive and on the path to its 2.0 version. There's a number of implementations, but it se

I wrote that comment first, but then got a login prompt and thought it didn't go through. But it did, so I deleted my second comment, which went something like > I recently installed Solus and was pleasantly surprised I don't h

I have VT-d, so for me it's more convenient to pass a whole USB controller, not individual devices. But I did pass USB devices in the past, yes.

I'm using kvm, which is basically qemu with hardware acceleration. VT-x is minimum, VT-d is better. Also by default qemu/kvm only uses one processor core I think, what are using to launch it? A script?

It's pretty damn fluid with real GPU passed through, literally no difference compared to running on bare metal. If you're not passing a real GPU then you're doing it wrong and shouldn't expect much anyway.

> I wouldn't base my business on it. Who even said anything about business? But if you're worried about security you can run OS X well enough in a VM (optionally with real hardware) doesn't need any 3rd party kexts AFAIK.

Alternative route is to build a VFIO capable computer and run OS X or whatever your heart desires in a VM with real hardware (read GPU) passed through. You can even run several VMs with several GPUs at the same time. Essentially you can hav

I'd recommend NixOS, for non expert users. If you are interested in 'what' and not in 'how' or 'why', then declarative nature of Nix configuration will do nicely. It can be as simple as services.nfs.server

Don't really care about that bug, it will be fixed I'm sure. But thank you for this post anyway, the word LLMNR caught my eye, very nice to have if it works. EDIT: works fine with Windows, without installing Bonjour/iTunes.

It's still manual testing, I pretty much stopped using those and just write test files for REST testing.
