This is cool, thanks! I myself am mostly okay with dev but I think communication is very important no matter where you are in the process. Sometimes I feel that I can't influence the product even though I care for it - but then I grow

You don't have to ban it. It will kill itself. People will realize how toxic it is, how bad it makes them feel and there will be a time when social will "fall apart". Then after a couple of years it will make a comeback and t

Look, it's already fucked. You are talking in a black room via robotic voices, all non verbal communications channels stripped - with twitter there is a harsh beep that silences you or the other speaker every fifteen seconds. Who in hi

You can't event get a list of extensions installed (from a page), but please do tell. You mean generic blocking via CSP/HSTS?

Because of access levels. You may install an extension that requires no access to anything interesting (hey it's just harmless css), but may refuse to install something that wants to read your dom. Another fun thing: user css / th

Nice job. Css had similar attacks maybe a decade ago, with link:visited (referer snooping) and image with src to a logged in site... but I like the selector trick. Extensions are a huge attack vector, but as long as one can't turn them

my slack strategies lately: * mute everything, except my team's chat; * turn off the "is typing" feedback; * use the web version in a standalone browser (eats 200mb ram only instead of 2+gb, in srware iron at least); * mute c

Seeing how my elderly parents use the computer: you don't manage files. At all. Right click is evil, keyboard shortcuts are evil, drag and drop never occurs to them. Mom usually just reads her emails (and attachements open in the brows

It just takes one malicious ad on the payment page... and the tempation to shove ads into the face of every customer and his dog is big. Think about java updates and a certain antivirus product as a great example of insane greed :)

This sounds great, but in reality most projects became so dependent on webpack, that moving to another packager would be a time waster (at least from managemen't spoint of view - and heck, I might agree: for us it would take weeks if n
