At some point if you have too little spacing, everything becomes very crowded. That being said, The Lounge supports themes, and it's trivial to reduce spacing to fit your needs. There's even a box in settings where you can put cus

If you have many users/channels, you can tweak `maxHistory`, which controls how many messages are kept in memory per channel for the backlog. That's where most of the memory usage comes from. https://thelounge.chat/

Looks like a lot of people are having troubles with Travis CI in this thread, we do too. With so many competing CI services out there now, it's kind of hard to keep using Travis. They've added Windows support, which is great, but

v3.0 adds message storage with sqlite, and message search will be built on top of that (there's a proof of concept pull request open with it).

You only need to setup Lounge once, it supports multiple users at the same time. A non geeky person should have no trouble joining a channel.

You can use a self hosted client like The Lounge which maintains IRC connections on your own server, and then you can view the client via a web browser (so it looks great on a phone, and you can get web push notifications) It basically acts

Lounge works fine on a smartphone because the actual IRC connection would be handled by a server where you host it, not your own phone.

The Lounge is a web client, so you can access it from any browser (PWA, push notification support). Since your IRC connection runs on a server, roaming and connection drops is not a problem. https://github.com/thelounge/
