If they were benchmaxxing, surely they would score higher than 30% on ARC-AGI.

In the wake of OpenAI’s model hacking Huggingface it’s interesting how the first quarter is entirely about how good Opus 5 is at hacking and finding vulnerabilities in software.

How would fiber and optics help if the bottleneck is computation efficiency and not data transfer?

It depends. If I was running a model locally I would much prefer 9000 t/s. If I was running an inference company, obv 1000 concurrent requests at 150 t/s is preferable.

Sure, your point is factual, but it is unrealistic, which does make your point irrelevant.

For anyone wondering: Grok Build is 1.35 million lines of Rust. Codex is 1.16 million lines of Rust OpenCode is 593k lines of Typescript Pi is 219k lines of Typescript Hermes-Agent is 1.4 million lines of Python and 300k lines of TypeScript

I agree, but there are a lot of great reasons for TypeScript: It's hot reloadable, so any modifications an agents makes can be surfaced in the active session. Nearly everything is already written in TS which makes integrating Pi into o

There are no moats. LLM's are a commodity. The point in spending all of the billions is to have strong domestic open-weight models. One of the worst case scenarios regarding LLM's is monopoly control, so these billionaires know th

Mech keyboards are closer to audiophile stuff than monster cables and luxury goods. The prices are generally commanded by low production volumes with high production quality. At least that's how the hobby used to be, I know its grown a

According to Wikipedia they hold $80 billion in assets. They also hold a lot of financial data of its users, which is certainly worth more than anything that could ever make sense to my pleb brain.

I thought the narrative a few months ago was that we had AGI[1]? What happened? It's not like these trillion dollar companies would have an interest in using AGI to hype up their technologies that they would need to replace a percentag

Still up in the air if Elon actually supports Nazi's or not. He definitely supports the AfD in germany and his grandparents benefited from Apartheid and have expressed antisemetic, antidemocratic, and racist views. It's on Elon to

It’s not due to HN being on one side ideologically. Elon’s criticism is due to him being one of the most powerful people in the world. He deserves any and all criticism he gets, solely due to the position he is in. I think describing him a
