As someone working on a social media app, I call bullshit. "The funding for these companies is plentiful because there is a serious bubble?" Now is the worst possible time to be building a new social network, because of the failures of Face

Sounds like an open source Branch. It has most of the same features (real-time, can have separate threads, moderation), but with participation from anyone.

It's possible that this is a viral marketing campaign to get you to think exactly that. Other comments go into detail, but it seems impractical to do this on a large scale as mentioned in the article.

Just to clarify, it sounds like you're suggesting that a larger menu will have less-fresh food. That makes intuitive sense but confused me at first.

This is nearly identical to a feature in the newest version of iPhoto that lets you break up albums into sections with maps and weather information. Just thought you should be aware! (Disclaimer: I am working on a dead-simple storytelling a

This really resonates. I've been integrating Open Graph actions into everything I've built recently because it makes everything more "engaging". I would gladly pay to promote actions my users are taking to their friends, as would many other

When I used film, this is exactly how I felt. Like each moment was precious and worth saving. Now that I use my phone and DSLR more, it's much easier to share, and therefore I do it more. There's a lot to be said for adding a barrier to sha

What I don't understand about Tumblr's iOS app is how they managed to make the dashboard slower, while making everything else native. It literally takes a minute to load the initial content ( http://nuut.co/post/31000290048/new-tumblr-app-i
