I hesitate to post here because I really don't like talking about my problems and have never written anything like this before. I'm one of the original members of HN and I've been here for a long time; since week one I think.

There are very few artists that have the gift of writing great songs and reinterpreting the songs of others in such a way that they make the song their own. Shane MacGowan was one of those artists. When I first heard the Pogues in the lat

To me it's the album Rum, Sodomy, & the Lash . It was produced by Elvis Costello and his goal was to capture the Pogues in their live glory, which I think he succeeded at doing in spades. That's really classic Pogues at the p

I appreciate your taking the time to write these comments. I am just getting into electronics, so I find them instructive. Can you recommend any books that will help an amateur get up to speed on how to wire things the right way and to do c

The book he wrote about datacenters is something people interested in the subject should read: https://www.amazon.com/dp/303100633X/

It would be interesting if you could talk about the ways he "kept the culture alive"; I think a lot of people would be interested in reading about that.

I understand what you're saying (I miss Inbox, too). But end users like sameness and "it just works." Normies prefer stability over innovation when they are trying to get stuff done.

Danny Taing does give off an Asian gangsta vibe. It wouldn't surprise me if he is a gangsta of sorts, in terms of business. It's not easy to be in a business that involves high risk international importing and distribution.

It's true it's not high-quality chocolate. The appeal seems to be to people who get into hobbies like this for the exclusivity or exotic nature of the items. The same kind of people who used to buy "limited edition" Supr

This is just meaningless overqualification, as if you're trying to escape reality. Any kind of glass is going to be more resistant to scratches than plastic, even the kind that claims to be scratch-resistant. By cheap hinges, I mean th
