Here's my fun personal story about the Sun Ra Arkestra: I grew up as a music-mad kid in the Philly metro region, and a friend of mine and a fellow music fan somehow got the phone number for the Arkestra group home where Sun Ra and a bu

Never wanted to do a bootcamp because of all the red flags around ISAs, and the often-remarked fact that there are almost no VCs or CTO's who understand pedagogy and the difference between that and growth hacking. The thing that has be

I'm in the Philippines now, and one thing I've noticed is that when you go out to a fast food joint (Jollibee, Chow King, Mang Inasal, &c.) they don't even have any plastic fork/knife/spoon dispensers, napkin di

I tend to agree that the functionality you see in Rectangle or Magnet should be native. Window placement shouldn't be a third party app. But whenever I've asked people at Apple about this, the response has been "Well, Apple i

The sound and production quality of that specific record was really my golden mean for what an alternative rock record should sound like. I especially loved the way he would record the drums, with that open, uncompressed sound. If you liste

Hard to find a good drummer. If you're in a developing world country, even harder because drum kits take up valuable space. Pro tip: Having a hard time finding a good drummer? Steal one from another band. Of course, your band has to tr

Same in a lot of developing countries. I'm in the Philippines right now and I've seen this not only here, but in other SE Asian countries. Of course, when I do, I seek to get as far away from it as possible as quickly as possible.
