I think the point is that hashing algorithms can be adjusted to scale with the increase in processing speed.

I wonder how much the popularity of Angular had to do with the recent adoption of TypeScript?

Agreed (I'm surprised it has so many upvotes). Maybe it's the polarizing effect. The comment wasn't for or against FB but it somehow resulted in FB vs Google subcomments. I've seen the same happen with languages, IDEs, o

I was going to try the demo if it weren't for the FB login (an unnecessary barrier for some people). The comment was meant as feedback. Making your demo more accessible might help. I'm not sure how that's "trash".

For me, if it doesn't make sense to link something to my accounts then I'm not going to (Google, Facebook, anyone).

My user experience report: 1. Opened website 2. Clicked "Demo" to see what this was all about 3. Read "Please, login via Facebook..." 4. No thanks. Closed tab.

It feels paradoxical either way to me, but maybe the multiverse is cool with there being universes that are paradoxical. Perhaps there's a dimension beyond time, and just as information changes in space across time, the entirety of our

Maybe it was a success. Maybe we didn't send a person back, we just created an explosion in the past for the purpose of verifying that it altered history. Success! Now we just have to find Nelson Mandela and the creator of the Berenste

A real quantum computer wins by a long shot in terms of coolness and difficulty to construct... But at this point there's no performance increase and they should provide the same results as a simulator. So I'll take the instantane

Being able to copy & paste a column would speed up design. Certain quantum algorithms rely heavily on repeated application so not having a shorthand feels tedious. Ideally, from my perspective as a user, I'd like some kind of selec

This looks great! I noticed that custom gates were on your "work in progress" list. Does that include being able to reuse a circuit as a gate in another circuit? That's a killer feature for me. Being able to "abstract aw

Most of the behavior of quantum circuits can be explained with just linear algebra. It's not that bad. Plus, developers probably won't need to interact directly with this stuff when the day comes. I'm sure there will be some

Ha! I feel obligated to click when I see "Try a Quantum Computer" in a title. That's an interesting strategy. I'm going to have to dig deeper when I get a chance. You said you're also using WebGL for a performance?

That looks good. Yeah, mine wasn't really focused on performance so much as ease of use (being able to compile and reuse circuits). One thing I never got around to that IBM did was measurement operators. They break my simple compilatio

It's using the X and Y location of the dots as training data. Each algorithm is being trained on (x,y)->color in an attempt to buildup a rule for predicting what color an unseen (x,y) pair would be. The hypothesis it builds is then

It's a Javascript library I put together a long time ago for dealing with datasets and machine learning algorithms. It was used for some of my own personal projects and hasn't been focused on for release in the wild (although I&#x

I accidentally left k means in there as an option and it doesn't make much sense in the context of this example. So, yeah, it's a bit of a bug. Realistically, linear regression doesn't make sense being included either but it

Good point, I've updated my post. For linear and logistic regression there's cubic expansion on the features (which is how they can fit curved problems). The relevant Javascript code is on lines 91 and 96. PS: It can be changed to
