Their pricing page doesn't have any pricing. It shows three tiers, each one without a price, and when you click to "learn more" it asks you to fill out your personal information. I'm not impressed.

When that “carpenter” is also answering the phone and doing quotes for work, apparently. If Henry is also the community manager and main fundraiser (which from the sounds of other posts he is), I’d argue that the last thing you’d want him s

When the Feds catch up to them, Dennis and Mac are loading frozen beef in to the back of his car and are legitimately confused by what the cops are saying. They moved past the virus several weeks ago and have had literally dozens of plans s

My reply was too harsh, and I regretted it after. Sorry about that. I agree that it is the parent's job to protect them. I just don't think it's fair that multi-billion dollar companies are allowed to do things that make my j

This lame excuse is as infuriating as it is erroneous. If I hand your child a gun and drive them to a school and help them squeeze the trigger as I use every psychological trick to coerce them in to killing their peers, is it my fault or yo

Are technology companies immune to all social responsibility? It sounds like you think they might be. But can we not think of a scenario where that would not be true? For example, if Snapchat makes a filter that detects blood and "coun

I live in the suburbs, and that lifestyle is more or less impossible for my children. Everything is a car-drive away, which means that everyone drives which means that cars are everywhere. It's the opposite of a virtuous circle.

I think there's a lot of truth in your comment. I mentioned this elsewhere but as we hang out with the same people, our interests begin to align. This is what has always happened in the past and will hopefully happen again once we'

I hear this too. But I think that making friends is about diversifing your interests and theirs as well. Humans in frequent contact with each other tends to move towards alignment.

Kids make it tough, for sure. I can't plan time for get togethers because I have to take kids to activities every evening. They're well socialized and I'm a hermit. But I'm starting to push back against the parenting ind

Rugby Union is a shining example of sport done right. Everyone other sport would do well to take a long hard look at their processes. I used to love ice hockey and then football (soccer) but now the only sport that I can watch without getti

I appreciate this comment. I spent 4 hours updating-deploy-test-repeat with GCP last night trying to track down a couple of niggling errors and it was a nightmare. I'd have killed to be able to step through it just once with a debugger

Right. I definitely try and do as much testing locally as I can, but it still often takes me 10-20 updates to get everything working (missed an environment variable, permissions different in the cloud, blah blah blah). That’s usually a coup

Your comment enrages me. Parenting is a full time battle against both the will of your children and the marketing spend of billion dollar companies. I worry myself sick and drive myself to exhaustion trying to raise sane and happy children,

I generally agree with you. I think a better solution would be reputation-based. An account created 4 seconds ago that posts dozens of videos that people generally find distasteful should wallow in obscurity. Still there? Yes. Findable? Yes

I have always used Gesturefy to make right-click and drag down to open in a new tab. I don't know where I originally picked up this gesture...maybe Opera in 2003? But I've always loved it and use it a hundred times a day.

I agree with much of what you say here and I think it would be an improvement. Personally, I still wouldn't use a tracking-less Facebook because: 1. I don't trust Facebook to not track me. When I left Facebook for good in 2014 it

Did it eat Sublime Text's lunch and dinner because it was open sourced? Or because it had the muscle of Microsoft behind it, a company with limitless resources and a long history of muscling in on other people's turf?
