I'm not really someone who spends time studying programming. I generally learn by building things. I do research to figure out what seems like the best tool for the job. I didn't read a book on ruby on rails or react but I learned

I haven't been keeping up on this topic. It's very exciting. If I'm understanding what I've read, this is the furthest of the "dwarf planets" which lie well beyond Pluto. There is a hypothesis that another plan

I don't know. It seems like mental gymnastics to say that zero fees hurts someone without a lot of money. It sounds more like you believe that people with access to limited capital can't understand the markets as well as people wi

I've never really delved deeply into package management. I've been using ruby for a while and using rbenv has made it pretty painless for a while. I've been using pipenv on my local machine but then switched to virtualenv in

I'm not sure if the time for this is now but it certainly feels closer to "now" than ever before. The recent corporate censorship I believe has ignited a lot of interest in various segments of the "non-hacker" world

I haven't used assana since the earliest days. Just looked over their marketing website, wow it looks completely different! I may take another look but at the moment, I have no issues with pivotal tracker.

I find pivotal tracker to really be my sweet spot amongst all these offerings. Maybe I just didn't know how to use it but Trello seemed a little too simplistic. What do you like about Trello vs. PT?

I don't agree. Those gifs are explicitly added. The author's point is about load times that are relatively unavoidable.

I agree. I hear the comments about a lack of funding but to me it isn't necessarily a lack of vision from politicians and businessmen. I have a Ph.D. in physics and even worked for 6 months full-time in the Princeton Plasma Physics Lab

Glad to see someone mention the "temporary" cessation of the dollar's convertibility to gold. From my perspective that would mark the most important event for this topic but it is hardly discussed.

I think you are oversimplifying here. The de-platforming often was sweeping across many websites and service providers. So there weren't really any choices left. And in the case of Gab.com they have had a lot of trouble getting running

Who are you saying is accused? AT&T or the customers? I don't believe there is any legal proceedings related to any of this? I think OP's point was that if this bothers you and the recent de-platforming of people and websites

I think surprasing facebook, snapchat and instagram in monthly downloads is still impressive. Maybe you just mean that it isn't impressive enough to have you believe that TikTok is going to dethrone FB. I can get behind that. But if I

I agree that there is a difference between deplatforming gab and someone like Alex Jones. I don't think that any solution is going to be a permanent one, whether it is a law or a technology. I tend to look towards technological advance

A simple example i'm thinking would be to imagine a flat road with a ball on it at x_ball. (x_ball > 0). Starting at x=0 a machine begins raising the road, adding gradually as it moves in the x-direction (creating a sloped road). On
