A lawyer isn't the answer for everything. Get an investment banker who has M&A experience, or alternately management consultant who can argue with the acquirer about the valuation.

No kidding. My school had D-I athletics and affirmative action but it hasn't slowed us down in terms of (externally granted) academic awards or excellence in engineering and other specialties. The bigger problem I think is the belief that e

Pricing game theory suggests that T-Mobile should undercut AT&T by a small margin at most.

True, you can possibly rig it up with an unlocked AT&T or other non-T-Mobile contract bound phone.

This is interesting, but would be 10X so if it were a persistent service instead of a one-off social science project. Also, I doubt strongly they could determine my origin. (I'm from the US, but I don't think they could figure out much more

The default order is to sort by time (week or year), so the concept of rank doesn't apply consistently. So I omitted it.

There's tons of variance in wins and losses, so any ratings system comparison should consider results over the long term. If you're interested and have the statistical background, you should definitely give it a shot. For related ideas, che

Thanks. I hope to drop in some Protovis charting functionality to make it more visually interesting. It will be a bit of a UI challenge to figure out how to adjust the controls, though.

Thanks for the user-defined groups idea. I probably won't get to it for a while (in favor of adding simpler functionality), but it could be really useful for frequent users or in conjunction with user-generated Protovis charts. I probably n

No, you're wrong. It was a CAWUG user group meeting at the Apple Store in Chicago. There is no way in hell I would mistake you for anyone else. DHH was there as well.
