Depends on whether or not you have the time to read. Listening to audio books can be done while walking, vacuuming, etc. Also while commuting, where reading might cause motion sickness.

Except we were never talking about JavaScript. I thought the OP made it pretty clear that they only cared about the syntax of method calls because they flow nicely and more easily support auto-complete in editors. Simple syntax sugar that t

The point is that the semantics could very well be just an alternative form of function calls.

> Method-syntax is more than syntactic sugar. No, method syntax is just syntax. In some languages methods are more than just syntax sugar, but there's nothing special about the syntax itself.

As it stands, this comment contains no information. Can you explain what about Lua is problematic?

That's not really true in practice. Often you just end up with a massive Error variant type that's used everywhere, even when the specific function you're calling could only return one of them.

If you're using a relational database for your web app, then you're doing something very similar to ECS, but more powerful.

Right, colored functions are e.g. async or not async. In Zig, you can write a single function that works as both, which I assume is what multicolored means here.

If they can get it into a pair of glasses, it might help a lot. Yes, the screen will be there all the time, but people won't be staring down at their phones all the time either.
