The Dart VM team is super active. If you are a VM geek this group[1] is a good way to follow what is going on. Dart now targets the Web (two compilers - one for development, one for "production" - both transpiling to JS), the ser

Allowing the user to choose their default assistant (Google, Cortana, Siri, ) would be a good start. EDIT: I didn't read the question carefully enough. I don't believe Apple has dumbed down the UI to push people to Siri. That bein

Practically speaking, most REST based servers and clients are tightly coupled anyways. That is why SDKs are so popular with developers. They just want to call a method and not be concerned with how the bits get across the wire. And please

Given Google's involvement, I am wondering why they did not choose jsonnet?

Indirectly I think Google does need Kubernetes to be successful. If they can drive adoption, it makes it much easier to move customers away from AWS and on to GCE.

The browser is driven by advanced AI wetware that understands the semantics of the data and can make decisions on what to do next. I think REST/HATEOAS purists have always overplayed the browser example. Pure machine to machine interac

Kubernetes is dead simple to use , but can be a little daunting to set up. Thankfully, that is changing with things like minikube, kubeadm, kops, and self hosted Kube. I think the orchestration wars are essentially over. Kube has insane m

Docker alone does not solve these problems. You need something like Kubernetes >- Host mounts? So what happens when a container gets rescheduled to another node? Persistent Volumes and Claims. Kube manages moving containers, and the asso

Kubernetes StatefulSets [1] are intended to address this kind of use case. They provide stable network identity and stable storage. Kubernetes enables a container to declare the resources that it requires, including things like dedicated CP

If you don't want to manage Kubernetes, you can use Google Container Engine (GKE), which is Kubernetes-as-a-service. A nice bonus is that they only charge you for the minion nodes. The Kube master is free.
