Can anyone comment on how Ray fits into the current distributed systems landscape? How does it compare to Spark, Hadoop, Akka, distributed Tensorflow, etc.? It would be really helpful to have an FAQ on the github.io page that answers the qu

It doesn’t have to be symmetric. If there is $2 consumer and $4 producer surplus, both parties benefit. And just because enrichment, as you call it, can happen other ways than exchange, does not mean it doesn’t happen via exchange too.

So your point is that in ideal (not real world) conditions, trains have higher throughput. And in Japan, the cost to a consumer is higher to drive. A) why should we care about ideal rather than real world scenarios? If the train is only 30%

Passenger rail in the United States probably doesn’t have the same economics as the other places you’re thinking of. I recently drove across part of the country, and it is shocking how much space there is with absolutely nothing there. Ther

Most student loans come from the federal government, and the rates are fixed regardless of risk. So what you and parent are really suggesting is increasing interest rates on student loans, which I totally support. Getting the government out

How would reducing the costs of going to college drive down the number of people going to college? To clarify what I mean: If student loan debt is dischargeable, that means that taking out a loan for college is actually less risky. We shoul

Markets aggregate information in a (usually) efficient way. Information is useful to different people in different ways. Just to take one example, if the stock price of a company falls and stays low for a whole, that could reflect some nega

Yes. It appears that since KRACK can allow the attacker to hijack a TCP handshake that they could potentially downgrade an HTTPS connection where HSTS is not used, but that shouldn’t affect your VPN connection.

HTTPSEverywhere will not magically upgrade a site that doesn't serve HTTPS to HTTPS. If you connect to a site that doesn't support HTTPS, you are vulnerable.
