Seems much of this “inclusive language” is about not working too much. In The Netherlands many woman prefer to work part-time. Like 24, maybe 32 hours a week. Why not offer such options? Of course, working less will likely mean earning less

If you subscribe to Humble Bundle newsletters, you will occasionally get nice deals on sound, music and/or sprite assets. I’ve bought many nice asset bundles here for a very reasonable price.

I haven't used many engines, but I've been programming some simple games with LÖVE [0] and (to a lesser extent) LÖVR [1] and like them both. But maybe not real game engines, as you need to do quite a bit of work by yourself. I gue

Very delicious as well. Didn’t know the name but Googling the name I recognize the photos. My girlfriend cooks this meal quite often for me (she is Thai and we live in Chiang Mai province).

The most delicious Thai meal (with Chinese origins) is in my opinion Kaow Soi Gai. Don’t think it’s easy to get in the Western world at Thai restaurants. Perhaps more of a Northern Thai food.

I work with an Iranian guy and he used to be CEO of a ~30 people company. He told me it was too stressful for him as well. He also did’t make much money, as he was concerned about the income of his staff. During COVID, work dried up and com

For aspiring Mac game developers, from the same area (Macintosh based operating systems) there was another nice book: “The Black Art of Macintosh Game Programming” [0]. Also includes a basic flight sim. ——— [0]: https://www.macin

Awesome project. Seems to be a bit like WINE, but focusing on Mac Classic apps. Seems many old games and apps are in a runnable state already.

I don’t buy the climate change narrative, so not concerned about it at all. As one investor stated in the past: if rising sea levels were really a problem, banks would not want to finance oceanfront property or under very strict terms. YMMV

Ok, more clear now on in what aspects you are more right-wing oriented and others in which you are more left-wing oriented. Regarding your stance on immigration, I don’t know why we should try to keep replacement levels of population. Time

It’s indeed a sad development and one of the reasons I emigrated to Thailand. The Netherlands was a lovely place when I was young, in the 80s - 90s, but the country has been going downhill fast in the past few decennia. I think most people

Been working on a mobile app for ~3 years and seriously considering rewriting. The custom UI/UX design is bad, would like to replace with default design based on OS. For a lot if the code I’ve written I also know better approaches now.

I think the Dutch government is concerned about use of fertilizer as well (nitrogen emissions?), so they prefer farmers to just stop, is my understanding. The Dutch government set a really high bar for itself regarding reduction in nitrogen
