That’s not cookie pop ups. That’s functional programming strategies poisoning the brains of developers causing them to believe that rewriting their page on every request is preferable because otherwise they have to think about “70,000 page

So you’re saying that all the parent should each contribute a little bit of money and share responsibility for actually teaching. Heck, maybe they could even, oh, I dunno, eventually hire someone to do that teaching!

The issue is that if your language doesn’t NPM-ize your packages, developer write you off as not modern enough. The simple fact is that this seems to be what most developers want, AND this is not limited to JavaScript developers.

I apologize, because HN does tend to automatically go to crypto when discussing blockchain. I was not talking about crypto. Blockchain “solutions” in enterprise were spinning up all over the place for non-crypto applications. In particular,

I suspect that this has something to do with it: https://zackoverflow.dev/writing/unsafe-rust-vs-zig/ Zig is also very easy to learn in comparison to rust.

Honestly. In a world in which JavaScript is the number one language, I’m walking back on the idea that “instability means no good for production”. 10 years ago, I thought for sure that JavaScript devs were eventually going to get sick of b

I can personally attest to anti-virus issues with IO slowdown. Some of apps we use will simply cease to function with any AV scanning in place.

Dude. It’s really odd behaviour of a person to have their pull request rejected, so they respond by going in to every single hn post related to zig and posting major exaggeration. Your pull request was rejected because it wasn’t the directi

The first photo generated for me made everything look plastic. Unnatural sharp lines on everything. Shadows from 5 different directions. It’s laughable to call these “hyperrealistic”.

Was there not just precedent set for this? The horse hair example is nonsense. One might argue that artists take inspiration from other artists to make the argument that what the AI is doing is fine. But the ai is actually only capable of b

The worth of a build system that is actively advertised as “not ready for production” is entirely individually dependant.
