Spies exist, yes that is a problem but it is a different problem. And the reach of one individual is just not the same as a nation state. I’m not sure I get your point.

Exactly this. I only casually follow this space and I recognised many of those questions as essentially ‘classic’ questions by now. Surely any recently trained model taking recent data is going to have a ton of references to these now, esp

That’s why I’m not fully jumping in yet, as I think even GPT 4 is borderline. I’m grateful for those investing their energy into building things like this (and no doubt many will be successful) but I’m happy to remain an interested observer

Well spotted. Following this, I found opening each image in a new tab and switching between them worked as a nice way to compare. For convenience (second is hinted) + https://blog.gtk.org/files/2024/03/Screen

Because in the future you can also wait to spend less money in the future future for a better better device :) No really, in that sense you want to jump in just after a significant change, to get the most out of the ‘new’, now. And they wi

I’d argue it’s not quite the same, since with hosted git you are being very explicit in both what you are sharing and who you are sharing with. Neither of those things are the same here.

Exactly. So two people at work share a private session, then all user content of that session is directly accessible to Zed Industries. Is that right? If I understand that correctly I think that’s going to be an instant no for a lot of peo

It’s different because Apple didn’t release the M1 Ultra at the same time as the M2 Pro. That would be confusing to buyers because it wouldn’t be immediately obvious which one is the better purchase, both being new offerings presented to cu

I got the same feeling. I think it’s generally bad practice to ask a user for their admin password without a good rationale as to why you’re asking, particularly if it’s non-obvious. It’s the ‘trust me bro’ approach to security that that

But you only have one genome, so you will only ever see a very small subset of that 7 million (I’m assuming that’s how it works, I’ve never used the service). Now you have access to 7 million records at the same time, which is much more po

I'm amazed that ad-blockers are not more popular. They do require a certain degree of technical understanding, but the extension system on most browsers is fairly mainstream so I don't think it's for this reason alone. Can it

My hunch is that Apple might give users a choice, perhaps during the initial onboarding process. That would be damaging for Google even insofar as I would guess many users probably don’t even realise that there _is_ a choice. I doubt that

What’s striking is it seems as much to undermine the competition by rejecting images the judges merely think _may_ be AI as it is to accept an AI image that pretends otherwise. In some sense it’s worse, since to submit an AI image is actua

They actually said 23 million pixels over both panels. So if taking that as 11.5 million each then at an equivalent aspect ratio that would be something like 4550 * 2560 per eye. Right?

That's a good point. Perhaps a weaker claim is just the idea that people in power (or more generally, people of influence) are as likely to have skin in the game, which can only drive engagement on the issue. That's different to

True. But it can be a non-trivial amount of space, and (especially on SSD) that can matter. The first review I see for AppCleaner on the MAS right now is from a very happy user who just reclaimed 19 GB on their MacBook Air after a first run

That does kind of miss the whole point of the article. If you are a resident, you rent an apartment, and pay an extra 23% that in part is due to the ease at which firms like AirBnB let speculators buy up apartments and rent them out to tour

I think this gets to the heart of how so much of this discussion misses the point. The question is not about solving CS problems. It's about determining the authenticity of the passenger's story. In this example, provided that th
