I can sympathize, but this was always the end deal for cloud SaaS apps. Give em a taste, get em hooked, get years of institutional knowledge and process embedded in the app, refuse to let them export it, and crank the price up. It's no

These are upgrades, not tinkering. None of them are necessary, just QoL. The Eddy sensor is better than anything Bambu's "AI" cameras can do as far as leveling. You can buy upgrades for your Bambu too.

The only thing I need the internet for to be disgusted by Bambulabs' practices is to learn about their practices in the first place.

Bambu's marketing (handing them out like candy to every YouTuber) has propagated a lie that there's "Easy and locked down Bambu" and "Yucky hard to use custom printers". I have an Elegoo Neptune 3 Pro. It was l

Indeed. I got bit by the programming bug writing utility programs in TI-BASIC on my TI-83. I would've had a very different life trajectory had I not been able to do that.

Apple's foray into producing their own chips started under Steve Jobs. They bought PA Semi in like 2008. Devices with the A4 launched in 2010.

I love little projects like this, but man does this make me glad things like Thingino exists. Installing the firmware takes like 5 minutes, a little self-hosted web configurator pops up, you put in an SSID and a password, the camera reboots

Because the "replacement" is "get two new AirPods". Even Apple can't take AirPods apart non-destructively. They are disposable. So much for their carbon neutrality.

I didn't have to look far to replace my combo CO/Smoke detector or do a ton of hard searching to find one that just took a 9-volt. The first two results on Amazon US for "smoke detector" take 9-volts.

That's not what I'm asking. Any teleconferencing app lets you do that. Specifically, in Zoom, I can share from a second camera. This could be a USB Webcam, or a USB/PCIe HDMI Capture Card, or OBS' Virtual Camera plugin.
