Well, it's bad that the term has been used in the media. Probably more carelessness than evil intent, but you never now. However, I have never heard it used in schools. German children will learn in school that these camps were German.

Python itself does not have optional typing, only optional type hints. You need additional tools for the type checking, and these tools are in experimental stage.

"Severe anxiety" was probably not the best choice of words. I believe from a Buddhist perspective, anxiety is a pretty basic thing, i.e. it is considered the normal state of the not-yet-enlightened person.

As the Dalai Lama writes, to feel needed is a basic human need. For more and more people, this need is NOT fulfilled. So, no, this is not the best time to be a human being.

Related question: Does a REST API make sense for an internal interface? Or is the overhead prohibitive compared to a more specialized interface? (By internal interface I mean: an interface that is used only by the team that created it)

Agree. Typescript doesn't have real algebraic data types becauses at the end of the day, Typescript is just a statically-typed version of Javascript. And Javascript doesn't have adts. For me, the biggest advantage of static typing
