I think the picture is a bit more complicated. Some innovation comes from academia too. Academia is important because almost all engineers are trained in academia. It would be rather costly for industry to take an 18yo and train him 6+ ye

I might be wrong, but microkernel also need drivers, so the attack surface would be the same, or not?

Don't know if it could get faster than UDP if it is on top of it.

The general web is slowed down by bloated websites. But I guess this can make game latency lower.

The quality of youtube videos when it comes to content that does not waste your time is so low, that I must oppose this only based on principle and not the merit of the platform.

This is not pushed by Christian Nationalists in the same manner that the Steam bans were not pushed by Collective Shout. They are just a good scapegoat. You find a group that preaches what you want to do, you do it, and then say that it was

I always do. I would have never made social media accounts if it required phone or ID. Thankfully I'm old so my accounts were made before normies flooded the net and started trusting everything.

So what guarantees I get as a consumer of this product? Since I'm paying for it, then all the consumer protection laws should apply and in case of a faulty product I can sue. Is that not the case?

I really don't get what is the point of articles such as this one. Maybe writers should focus on writing less bloated articles with clear prupose and AI reading would be unnecessary or at least not as frequent. At least there could be

Why not LyX or TeXmacs? Both seem to be better options than yet another markup language.

I have a feeling that they still need to guarantee availability of spares if they fix it themselves, do they not? They still have to create documentation for their engineers, do they not?

I don't know what software you are using but, latexmk on my machine takes at least 30seconds to compile a 40 page document with 164 equations and 46 images. Texmacs doesn't have to, it just does the rendering incrementally, refere

He means that the equations in the TeXmacs buffer are not rendered by LaTeX and imported as images (as in Emacs), but by TeXmacs. You can edit each part of the rendered equation in realtime, without having to write source code as in LaTeX,

Installing it sucks. Once I got through that hurdle I liked it. However, I do think most people won't bother if the executable downloaded from the main website just doesn't run.
