The best way they could improve Firefox snap performance is to ditch snap altogether. It's win win situation. They are trying to forcefully push something that no one wants or needs and that is frankly inferior to Flatpak.

They wrote about it before. They use various paid third-party APIs to power their own search. I guess that is the majority of the cost.

Just install Brave, its adblocker is natively implemented and not affected by Manifest V3 fiasco.

It's opt in. I don't see any Brave ads nor I use any crypto stuff, it's completely optional, and it helps them pay their bills. I prefer it better than for a browser to get 100 millions $ from Google

Most people don't write operating systems or write software in C/C++, so memory safety bugs are not big concern.

I'm going to quit, but not because of return-to-office, but because I can. I'll take few months off before searching for a new job. I don't have big expenses and plenty of cash in bank.

Once a week was never enough, they should have compared group that exercises 3x a week compared to little exercise every day. I would guess 3x a week will be much better.

Fortunately they are losing market share to KDE, so I say good riddance GNOME. Probably worst DE for Linux.

Not surprised. Meat tastes good and bio-availability of animal protein is unmatched by any plant protein. Apart from minor vegan delusion in the Western nations, meat eating is not going away and it's not even reached its peak.

I have used all possible DEs and Window Managers, and finally settled on Xfce. It's tried and true desktop paradigm which gets the job done. Vanilla GNOME is very inefficient and extensions are just lipstick on a pig.
