“Good tools are invisible” is not an objectionable thing to claim, but the example used is confusing: a power user of vim presumably feels like their flows are invisible, just like the author feels like his Sublime patterns are invisible. I

If you want to be pedantic, NYC is a different “land” to have a “landmark” for :-) (I like arguing too. Nothing wrong with that. I think in this case it suffices that they’re regulations in different states with relatively different politic

I don’t think it would be a federal concern, but a state one. However, in this case it’s because NYC law is typically allowed under NY state law to be stronger (but not weaker) than any corresponding state law.

It’s a landmark change in NYC . Again: this is NYC’s official website. It might (as a stretch) be a “lie by omission” on a national newspaper’s website, but this is a website that is solely dedicated to NYC itself.

I think you, as the reader, are expected to mentally append “in NYC” when a link comes from nyc.gov. It seems very silly for a given municipality to need to qualify every sentence on its own website.

I don’t follow how it would be in Anthropic’s interests to maintain an LTS version of Bun. It seems unlikely they’d use it, and it would cost them money (in the form of labor). To my understanding, Java and .NET offer public LTSes because t

I don’t agree, because no evidence of bias has been advanced. They might be biased, but the plain reading of the situation of that (1) Odin is not notable under GNG, (2) JangaFX might be notable, but notability isn’t transitive.

Yes, this is a huge advantage (and one among several reasons why malaise in the commercial real estate market in other US cities doesn’t transfer easily into lessons about NYC’s market).

Notability is a qualified state on Wikipedia, as both TFA and Wikipedia itself document. One of the qualifications is having third-party sources document the subject, where those third-party sources are themselves notable and reputable (in

I keep up with PL development, and I am only vaguely aware of Odin (and same for Jai and V). (But this isn’t the point: lots of programmers know about relatively obscure thing, but that does not itself make them notable. Notability is a w

Yes, but that meal is for 6-8 people. I don't think you can get to $68 for half as many people, even with drinks and tax. I just tried it with the "8pc meal" and 3 fountain drinks for the same location, and it came to $39.36,

I don’t disagree with that, but I think GitHub has shown that projects want to have their cake and eat it too. GitHub has also shown that it’s incredibly easy to design an insecure CI/CD that satisfies that goal, but I see that more
