Looks like ~60% loss to me. (From $1.1B net in 2015 to $572M net in 2019) https://money.cnn.com/quote/financials/financials.html?symb=... EDIT: $1.1B in 2016. In 2015 net income was $1.45B :-(

Since peaking in 2015 Mazda is not growing. They are steadily losing market share over the last 10 years. They make attractive cars, but they bet on pretending that they are a "premium" brand and priced themselves out. https:&#x

They want Russia to come back in line with OPEC. Russian economy depends on oil exports, and the low oil prices might force it back to table. See what happened to Russian currency when price went down.

I get this for a scrappy startup trying to move fast. But this app (pretty decent, btw) is 10+ years old.

Toilet with a sink is called half bathroom in US. GP mentioned separate toilet. I've seen this setup in Europe a lot: https://q-cf.bstatic.com/images/hotel/max1024x768/214/214010...

Interesting, I have a 2015 model, and sending destination from the phone or directly from the Google Maps on desktop always worked. I don't even need to connect my phone to the car. My wife's car is newer, and it doesn't conn

Sometimes it pays to experiment a little. We had a similar annual performance reviews in an old BigCo. Everyone had to write a paragraph of text for 8-10 goals, plus an overall self-review. Then a manager had to review and provide comment f

There is an insider story within a story on this page titled "New Look : How I set the look of Mac IE 5, possibly kickstarted Aqua (sorry), and invented translucent blurred windows, in the 1990s". Just scroll one page down. I tho

I know there are guidelines that broadcaster should follow. But the lines between ratings are blurry. For instance, Mad Men was rated TV-14. They had F-bombs, rape, death, and most of the plot was around "adult themes".

Do you live in a world where a 16 year old will be shocked by an offscreen child death or an F-bomb? There are other ratings exist, for instance TV-14. There was no nudity in that show.

Yes I watched it. Tons of shows with similar themes are rated TV-14 on network TV.

And they rate their existing shows TV-MA for no apparent reason. Why is "For All Mankind" unsuitable for children under 17?

Both my VM providers transcribe voice mail into text. Glancing at a transcript to identify spam takes a second. More important I am not interrupted by calls and could check them at the time most convenient to me.

Correction, you are also paying for my fringe benefits. Very few places offer a cash discount, while CC fees are baked in into all prices.

If we consider parent's home country a "peripheral market", then it took iPhone months to reach it. Don't forget that Nexus One launched almost 10 year ago. There was plenty of time to build the supply chain.

I just upgraded from Series 0 to Series 5. Passed it down to another family member. Battery still lasts whole day, and in general it was doing same tasks as a new one. Biggest issue I had with the old one is that it wasn't waterproof.

I am not sure why you include Volkswagen in this list. VW was founded by Nazis, it would be strange if it did not support them during WW2. On the other hand IBM had a choice.

It is not a given. Numbers differ depending on what you count as savings. Closest to your estimate is "29% of households have less than $1,000 saved."[1] [1] https://www.magnifymoney.com/blog/news/average

Also same data: 38.8% pay it with CC that they pay off, 41.8% pay it with cash. Put two of them together and you get $80.6% not struggling at all. That data is garbage.

I can't believe it either. Why didn't they look into salary distribution of doctors? They make little during residency, but then it goes way up.
