This was an extremely obvious example of when the private sector could've collaborated to solve a problem. SVB was doing a capital raise just last week. Instead the VC community colluded to accelerate the problem and is now asking for

That's a misunderstanding - when a bank originates a loan: - the bank records an asset (the loan) and a liability (the deposit in the borrower's account) - the borrower records an asset (the loan money now deposited at the bank) a

I’m really turned off by how there’s zero critical consideration of their quoted research. They’re just hammering you over the head with quantity. Sleep is like diet where there’s virtually no scientific consensus on even the most basic thi

Many languages (e.g, NodeJS) won’t even let you share code. So you can’t really do stuff like have hundreds of threads without being very careful with the size of your application code, because each thread will get a copy.

Having what feels like 100ms of input delay at a minimum is pretty awful. Idk if there's some magic way to speculatively render extra frames so that input is resolved locally

"senior vs junior engineer" content always feels really cringeworthy. Particularly because self-proclaimed senior engineers tend to insist theirs is the One True Way. It's even worse when it devolves into "X framework&#x

At the end of the day you're always "inventing new details" to turn sensor data into an image. Most algorithms involve edge detection and predicting color correlations, and you'll also run into cases where false details

I dunno if there's actually a constitutional way for the US to stop it. They can probably make it hard/impossible for TikTok/Bytedance to make money in the US, but banning the app itself is out of the question, unless Apple&#

One slightly annoying thing about esbuild/swc is that they're faster by literally not being equivalent to Babel. esbuild intentionally does not emit ASTs, and SWC has their own flavor that is not compatible with Babel. Furthermore
