I wonder why? My pharmacy in Spain is owned by this older lady who's had this shop for life. Not too many customers but she manages and even has a few part time staff. It pays enough to make a living. And she always knows what I need a

They are, they're called minis :) https://www.piccantino.com/mars/classic-minis But if you want to indulge, there's a lot much much nicer quality treats than a mars bar, that's what I meant. That might b

It's super similar though. But without the caramel and the soft stuff is vanilla flavoured instead of chocolate. I like them better actually. The mars bar is too chocolatey for me (while actually having really bad quality chocolate)

That's true, real small scale food places are great. I ordered a smash burger recently at a local outfit for the price of a big Mac. It was also a double but it was about twice the size of a big Mac and juicy and delicious, not that dr

A mars bar is probably not the same thing it was in 1986 either. Recipes get tweaked constantly to reduce ingredient cost (and usually marked with "new and improved recipe!!" Lol

Soda is super cheap to make though. It's usually just tap water with some processed sugar and some artificial flavourings. It's an easy thing to promote more of to divert attention while reducing something else that actually costs

What about the quarter pounder with cheese? Isn't that still a quarter pound? It would be illegal to sell any less in most places, not unless they change the name.

If you care about health you won't eat a mars bar. In fact even if you care about taste you wouldn't. It's nothing but a tasteless processed sugar bar. I didn't even like them as a kid.

This does not surprise me. I noticed in the early 2000s that the Yorkie bar suddenly no longer had the 6 letters on the squares. Turns out... They sneakily reduced them to only 5! So the word no longer fit. If it weren't for the letter

Isn't that the same problem though, that the profit goes to the foundation not the corporation? However it is a nice idea, I would love a firefox mug or something. Microsoft has lobbied our company to remove firefox and chrome from all

It's nice and I didn't know about it but I wouldn't pay for it. Not for another chromium browser. I would easily pay 60/yr for firefox though if Mozilla would let me. I'm not donating to the foundation, they waste t

Ah interesting, I didn't know Brave Origin even existed. It's not something I'd pay for though. I'd pay for firefox but not another chromium browser.

Ah I prefer firefox anyway. It has some features I can't do without. Like the multi-account containers. And its sync that is end to end encrypted. But I might have a look at brave for the 1-2 sites I still use chromium for because they

And, Mozilla is more and more becoming an advertising company which is really worrying. With their anonym acquisition and the "privacy preserving" attribution stuff they now have an active interest in advertising.

Does it also block the background tracking you don't see with the same effectiveness? Also the amount of configurability is extremely reduced. I personally need that because I use custom lists to reduce websites to just a list of headl

Why pay if you can simply block? Google has more than enough money. Having said that YouTube is so enshittified in other ways too (screaming thumbnails and titles, sponsors which need sponsorblock, random AI clickbait videos) that I rarely

Does it have the same configurability though? Custom lists and the like? I really need those. I'd use Brave if someone made a fork with all the BAT token stuff removed but I haven't seen one.

That's good though, it means it works and it's sensitive. I like such false positives as a good indicator. In Eastern Ukraine i also see sat trackers detect a lot, which is obviously mostly not wildfires.

There's also a good automatic tracker: firewatch.1338.nl/ it's in Dutch but it doesn't really matter. It just puts detected fires on a map.
