But then you have constant maintenance. I prefer rolling distros, don't get me wrong. But it does mean you will get the latest of every package constantly and some cause problems. For a box that sits in a corner doing its joband you do

Bluetooth and WiFi on a mobile device don't have enough range for this stuff. You need to be too close to other participants. Hence LoRa. Yes, 5G would be an option but the licensed spectrum (and firmware restriction) makes that imposs

Not on the 13" no but they could have made the touch pad slightly smaller. For me touch keys will never work, like the other poster said I need tactile feedback. Apple's keyboards are pretty bad at that already by the way, even th

The difference it's that in the physical case the choice is up to the library, in the other it's forced upon them by the publisher.

The relationship with Alcohol in many European countries is a bit different anyway. In some nordic countries you can only buy it in official state-owned stores (and it is incredibly expensive due to taxes).

No, but I think this is more because it takes them so much effort replicating the basic functionality and compatibility with e.g. android apps that they just don't have the energy for it. Also, the hardware for good peer to peer commun

Thanks! I was looking for that. I see they use those cheapo Chinese RF modules (SA818). I've seen those also with SDR input/output, that's interesting. The underlying chip is very similar: The chip that will be used in this m

Nice!! I wish it could do DMR though. Analog isn't used to much anymore in these parts. Although to be more precise, HAM radio has declined a lot but DMR repeaters are linked in groups so it seems like there's a lot more activity.
