The antenna on these cheapo modules is bodged anyway. They don't get a good signal out and it's not just because of the size. I have other modules from waveshare that use the same antenna and they work way way better. So yeah I al

You're right. I oversimplified. However when I worked with SDH it was particularly popular because some customers like banks vetoed ATM because they were incredibly worried one of their packets would make its way to a third party. At t

For now yes. But what when the industry moves to streaming? It's the ultimate copy protection because you never even get the game code.

Yes but they can force new versions with limited functionality. Like when they deleted half the music from GTA San Andreas. On GoG you can choose to install every older version they've distributed (though GTA is not on there obviously)

I get your sarcasm but it's good that a paper very strongly focused on economic activity is on board with the need to tackle climate change. A couple decades ago all the capitalist neoliberal institutions were still trying too pooh-poo

Absolutely, the heat itself is not the problem. I read that every day the earth receives more heat energy from the sun than was ever stored in all the fossil fuels on the planet. What's more the problem is that we could have spent that

Deforestation causes more extreme weather like floods and landslides which also remove fertile soil, and trees don't regenerate quickly enough to prevent that from happening. And global warming also increases weather instability at a r

France's nuclear is long paid off, and there were big government investments into building the industry around it because France is a nuclear power. It's not exactly the same tech obviously but when you build nuclear weapons yours

One recent game I really liked was VirtuaVerse. Not incredibly hard, really good music and art design. It really felt like it took the lucasarts game style into the next century.

MI1 was nice IMO. Not too hard, the insult game was innovative. It established a lot of characters. MI2 was way way too hard for me. And when I played it first on Amiga a lot of transitions took one minute to load from floppy which made it

That is really what everyone else does. When you get the auto downloaded Nvidia driver you get only the bare basics and it's not bugging you to install the GeForce experience stuff like they do if you download it from their website.

I think what also plays a role is that this way each tenant gets charged for AC use through their own power bill. No difficult central accounting to do. Still, split units are way easier and more efficient but I guess the landlords just go

Most LGs had a serial option, you can plug in a very specific USB to serial module in its USB port and then control it over serial with fairly generic commands. Not sure if they still have this though. Mine does.

Oh ok that is impressive, true. The 10x lens from Samsung was also nice, I don't understand why they went back on that. I never got it though because it was only available on the ultra and I hate huge phones.
