Now imagine doing this for some system which actually matters and can cost lives if implemented incorrectly. That would be scary.

I used to run a lot and used a GPS watch to plot my runs .. initially, but this got boring fast. I don't want to compare myself with other runners. I just want a distraction free half an hour and thus no phone or watch. :)

I'm still trying to figure out what exact user case having a digital watch solves. I mean .. I have a phone which shows time, plays music and can tell me who called / sent me a signal message. I have issues with having to charge m

I skimmed the article after I realized that I was being negative. It has some nice explanations so my comment wasn't about the content but just about the wording of the title. :D

The Danish government is pro spying on its people. Currently we have numberplate recognition everywhere and logging of SMS and position info of phones. So this is just another step into the direction where we will be watched everywhere by o

The books are loaded with statements against powerhungry politicans.. the TV series are not. It's like the people adapting the books for TV tried to make it palatable for everyone.

I ignore video posts. Why would I spend 20 minutes watching something when I can read the same in one or two minutes? I read inhumanely fast.

I'm sure it will be a huge success. I like reading books. So I prefer to see movies close to my mental representation of the book .. which almost newer works. Altered Carbon was such a huge disappointment that I'm going to skip th

Implementering the evil bit solves all our problems, I agree.

It depends on the company. Small companies are usually flat, but my experience is that larger companies turn into departments/teams until someone realizes that more leadership on paper doesn't add any value.

This reminds me that I got fired from a German company (operating in DK) because I asked too many questions and would not stop complaining about the software architecture which was terrible. The company culture was clashing with the Danish

How do you know about it? :) Here in DK we have a law with my family name in it .. which the fuckers spelled wrong. I asked them to correct it but they refused. This is the story about how I became a citizen.

I have a feeling that the bloated frontend is one of the mayor problems. We should get rid of html, CSS and JavaScript and implement something that could mix all of the above in a single spec and could be implemented using a VM with limited
