Cars need flight mode .. but it should be called something else. Perhaps tunnel mode? :)

Most people who I know work with tech and can afford expensive hardware if it makes sense. I would love to be able to use 2x64 GiB RAM with a SBC and would pay for this.

This is actually an attempt to manipulate me. I usually know what I want/need and research a lot before I buy based on both reviews and product descriptions. They strategy doesn't work .. just annoys me.

Why are these devices limited to ram that's soldiered directly on the board instead of sdimm? type interface that can take any supported ram and would work (I assume) with some timing info provided to the bootloader?

I see your point. The problem with old laptops is that they can have quirky or unsupported hardware or unstable power saving firmware. This can be like playing russian roulette. The RPI on the other hand has some software that mostly just w

Yes, the project is great and very useful. I wish the HW companies either document their devices or pay someone who understands software to work on it instead just releasing nearly working prototypes and then continuing to another project a

AllWinner - I remember that their software support is horrible. Support and documentation was non-existing last time I looked. Has this changed recently? Is there mainline support for AllWinner now or is this still a copy/paste crapfes

Or even better an option to disable the policy for the next 10 or 30 minutes which should be enough to.e to do whatever you need to do.

I live in the North - the exact area where the animals are raised in - you know it as they smell really bad. The area with the mink factories is mostly thinly populated. I don't know what restrictions are going to be implemented in the

What happens if the device shakes itself apart while rotating? This is not something that I would like to have in my backyard without any secure way of preventing parts of it from hitting people or my house (perhaps some kind of net). If I

I would pay for a chair with this tech. I have back problems which go away when I exercise and some pain when sitting still caused by an accident a few years ago.

I had some experience with Espressobin v5 and v7 devices. All the issues that I had with the devices were caused by terrible software support. Openwrt was unstable. The original kernel was too old. The best results were using armbian kernel

There should be a warning on the box that you need internet for this to work or enable it. I guess we should talk to the lawmakers at the EU (or wherever you live) to make this stop.

Actually yes, it has changed. I do consulting and it's clear that my clients need my help. It's my own fault if I don't figure out the requirements and communicate clearly what I'm doing. Also every new client is making

I'm over 40. I burned out while working for a megacorp - the stress got to me at the end. It was caused by middle management stupidity and my son not sleeping at night during the first couple of months of his life. It got me fired (I w

I might be old school .. I really liked to have a programming manual while doing bare bones development (I did this using a Analog Devices device). The HAL didn't work out of the box as I didn't understand what else was needed for

I tried the official stm32 tools (code generator) at work and found them horrible. But Zephyr supports some of the boards which makes it worthwhile (for me) to use for quick prototypes.

I had the impression that the Fremen were based on the middle Eastern stereotype male. This was a great use of the word Jihad to describe. The culture needed a focus point and the Atreides family provided one by manipulating their beliefs.
