Recently booked a hotel on agoda. Price increased after I logged in as part of the booking process. Opened cognito and bought at the lower price with a guest account. Felt both smug and piss off at the 5 bucks I saved

I find Python a terrible bash replacement. Calling all the command line tools is cumbersome, the Python cloud APIs are verbose compared to the cli tools and often have very different concepts for how they interact with services. But I agree

It’s because you forgot a comma after the last item. If you had kept that the items wouldn’t have been compacted (at least in black, I’ve stopped linking my code because it breaks intends of formatting more often than it helps)

I think it’s an excellent observation! Code quality is really about readability and organization of code. The thinking is, if the humans reading, writing and editing the code can’t read and comprehend it, they can’t develop it in meaningful

Since this is more about tools than the purpose I’d like to add my favorites: Pilot friction pens - the four color versions. I find multicolored notes great and they are erasable. Muji spine notebooks - hit the perfect balance between cheap

It's quite a different mental model the author has from me. Cut moves text from the application into a separate application, the clipboard. So just like if I edit in application A, change to application B and hit undo, I do not expect

Maybe you shouldn’t throw out your new trailer, but it looks like a good deal for expanding a fleet. Remember that all signs point towards more CO2 fees and higher gas prices in the coming years

One of the nice things about notebooks (handwritten) is the juxtaposition of data, which makes it a joy to browse through and rediscover old thoughts and ideas. The only note taking app I’ve found to be fun to browse is Google Keep. I love

I think the streaming sites are in a difficult position. On one hand I expect access to the worlds music, but on the other hand I also expect not to be drowned in 8bit covers and AI music. They are - to me at least - also an arbiter of musi
