I'd rather enforce it at the repo then hope and pray everyone updates their global configs. Easy enough to catch but you'll miss some. Literally no cost to adding it to repo config either

It's really hard to build a system for the cloud that can run on bare metal unless you make that a goal of the project. That can be a hard goal to sell to business. Especially when it requires more head count.

Clean is such a weasel word. Does it matter if you visual tooling produces a series of squiggly lines? The information is all there. You can grep it to find specific commits. This isn't a hill worth dying on with your team if it's

There's value in just being a child. Not everything is about min/maxing your life.

There really isn't a comparison here. Allowing a 12 year old to work in their parent's shop part time with relatively strict hour limits (at least in Canada) is going to inherently be less exploitative then a child working for a &

Except for the ones who don't: https://youtu.be/n6PYj93SGxc?t=384 The point isn't that some kids enjoy it. The point is kids shouldn't be involved in the capitalist machine because its inherently exploitive.

It's all fun and games until you want to do something even semi non-standard. Nitric even calls this out: > If you wanted to be able to completely customise your infrastructure, using IaC can be practical. However, it is rare that a

So much money to be wasted on half baked ideas that rehash other half baked ideas. Did we not learn from the last decade of wasteful investment?

Thank you for the clarification; I read through the paper and thought I missed something. Definitely any interesting area of development with papers like this and tools like Devin being released. Interesting times.

Isn't this just wrapping existing agents with a "secure" coding environment? Does this represent a meaningful improvement in AI?

Enablement is also a problem. Each time the group had a chance to intervene, they didn't. Not to say Rick isn't at fault, he is, 100%, but he was clearly in an environment that want healthy for his mental health or productivity.

Oh, 100%. Unfortunately, that's what the unions here agreed to and there seems to be very little motive from either side to change it.

As a partner of an elementary educator in Canada, a master's degree no, but definitely an undergraduate with some amount of co-op. Knowing how to teach well, to 25+ students, is not something you can pick-up over a handful of years. Ma

Ah yes, one more thing to have existential dread about. Spend your time how you want. Time is never wasted. If you don't want to do something, and you have no good reason to do it (friends, family, etc.), don't. As the article sta

Comparing it to discrimination based on skin color seems extremely disingenuous. I don't care if you get vaccinated; but I also recognize that your are making a suboptimal choice, based on available data, if you don't.

This is just bad advice. 7% might be achievable, but it also might not be. Are you truly willing to risk everything on the hope you can live in someone else's home a couple of months of the year? Why not just do the same yourself?
