It's a thin silver lining. I can't have coffee multiple days in a row, else I'll experience panic attacks (and in that moment i think I'm going to die, nearly reaching for a phone to call 911). And can't partake in

Oh wow, I'm surprised that this is not common knowledge given how common coffee is. I didn't even know it was a thing. File me under "A cup of coffee feels like a small dose of MDMA"

This is really great and an actual way out of loneliness and low mood. There's no quick fix - join a community, work on your body, and give it enough time. Also +1 to being platonic friends with women.

In big tech? One can pocket an avg 100k/year. Less in first few years, more later on. That isn't "quit immediately and coast" money, but several times a juicy down payment in the bank and a guaranteed MINIMUM 200k USD&#

Even just viewing a job purely as an economic transaction is short-sighted. You are at least making social transactions, and likely also meaning transactions. Hell, even a commute to work where you're spending time, gas, and risk on th

Thanks, this has given me a new perspective. I went through mbti at a workplace and it was used to give us an understanding of our co-workers. Your point that it's a self assessment and thus only "how you see yourself" and no

There is no entitlement in any country/state/province I've ever worked. You can quit at any time and your employer can fire you at any time - no reason needed either way https://www.ncsl.org/labor-and-employme

It's curious to me that so many companies have so many low value employees that if a ton of them quit then that is good for the company. It's not unbelievable - I've worked at a few mediocre places before - but what a stran

Will an entrepreneur please make high quality (great tasting) decaf coffee ubiquitous? There's a growing anti-drug sentiment that should be a great tailwind. It's hard for me to find as good tasting a bean as it is with non-decaf.

If you live in NYC and want to own where your family can live on a single income, then it's important to be north of 300k.

Pretty cool ideas. If simple calculations were built into the apps I use, I would make daily use for napkin math. I've dipped my toe into the pen input tablet world a few times (often unimpressed), but recently committed to a new iPad
