Many reasons. But after 10 years on the west coast, I had many dozens of friends but almost none that I wanted to spend holidays with (i.e. felt like family, neither friends nor partners). I decided that it wasn't for a lack of trying

Step backwards in take home pay and square footage. Step forwards in social life, romantic life, culture (if you weren't getting it elsewhere). If you're married with kids, NYC doesn't make sense. If you're single with p

West coast of USA is easy-mode life. I don't fault anyone for living there and loving it. It just wasn't for me socially. NYC makes me feel more human and connected, even if that means higher taxes, smaller apartment, and generall

This is what I do. That email in OP is gross. "Hi, thanks for the message. I would appreciate as much detail as you can via message. Interested in location, compensation, and what specific problems they need help solving. Thanks!"

I've found being vegan too difficult with IBS. Fruits and vegetable and grains are what cause symptoms, so I quite literally need to eat meat (and the other things in small quantities)

You're right. But OP didn't understand why it doesn't exist because "market is so big." I presumed they meant more than the extreme edge of RSI sufferers. So I ran the thought experiment. I've had a mild RSI. T

Not really sure, but it sounds like some of things you are testing might be syntax - which makes sense if it's critical to your hiring need - ex. hiring senior C++ folks to start a new project - otherwise every new job I've starte

The UI changes still piss me off. Example: You can no longer flip WiFi on/off with a swipe (to expose tray) and tap. There's an extra tap and they removed the automatic re-enable, which I got used to.. so I find myself turning WiF
