Search has ads but Siri doesn't. And when Apple puts ads in Siri they won't be Google ads. I don't think Google benefits from this deal enough to be worth paying.

Tail risk. Only <1% of people get punished by their car's data. IMO that's still too much.

You might need different machines to cut wax/vinyl directly vs cutting lacquer to make a stamper.

This code creates a JSON intermediate representation that LLMs could probably consume. You might want to simplify it to focus on content and reduce token usage.

Nvidia Spark has 10 mid cores and 10 fake cores. Probably all the others are faster.

UMA was never about performance and it still isn't. Spark is slower than a 5090.

This chip was designed before the shortages. I think they'll order just enough units to say they released it but not enough to put a dent in Rubin.

Lemire is very narrowly interested in CPU SIMD so within that niche it may be interesting. As you said, overall the Spark is good but not great.

libgit2 exists. You could imagine communicating with some gitd over a pipe/socket but I don't know why that would be a good idea. Short of that you have to spawn processes.

At this price, GPUs might be more profitable than tokens.

Based on previous patterns, the low should be over $75K. It's already broken.

If you mean an OS kernel, it would be interesting to create a fully async kernel using async/await. I've only seen one project working on this.
