That was a nice thing about working at Ghostery. Our swag was LEGIT. Too bad we didn't have a viable business model to go with it

Always good to see an open source dev standing up for themselves, if only a little, against all the entitled freeloaders and techbros who are all too happy to exploit them and to encourage them to continue exploiting themselves If you build

Thus makes me feel less junior than I sometimes feel. I may not have a CS degree but at least I understand a good amount of this stuff.

It's funny they were surprised to find crocheting tips in a farming magazine. They must have forgotten this was when crochet was part of real life rather than a lifestyle hobby for middle class people

? I am just politely asking a perfectly reasonable question that anyone who embarks on a 2+ year project needs to spend a solid chunk of time thinking about & trying to give OP a chance to practice articulating their value prop vision.

Amazing work. I have to ask, however: what does your engine do better (or plan to do better in the future if it's not there yet) than any of the existing 2D engines, like GMS2, Defold, etc? That is, why should a developer consider choo

These aren't my needs particularly. They are just canvas' main good reason for existing, as every other use case is better covered by webgl and/or CSS. Canvas is the Direct2D of the web and development of the API should focus

But....10->400 over 5 years is quite close to being the same raw rate of growth as 400->1000 over 1 year? And given the challenges of the initial stage of growth, it arguably translates to a significantly higher stage-adjusted growth

Useless additions that miss the point. The only thing Canvas2D needs is frequent and ongoing improvements to line rendering performance.

Good point, Feel No Pain is very handy for that fight. Fire Breathing still great for Lagavulin if you can also get your hands on a Power Through in time, esp since you have three turns to draw it before it wakes up. Not as much for Nob....

This puts me in mind me of how the difficulty of the 3x Sentry fight varies so wildly depending on whether you've happened to have had a chance to get Evolve / Cleave / Whirlwind, or especially Fire Breathing.

Nope, I dunno. If I was them I would have just developed the game in Defold or GMS2, tbh, since both of those engines can target mobile and Switch as well as desktop. I would be curious to know why they chose not to do that.

I think the most likely explanation is that the founders just got bored with the project as they got older and aged out of their own primary target demographic. You have kids, you start getting regular colonoscopies...all the trials and tri
