This was my initial thought too. I expect they'll push very hard for Facebook etc. integration to try and get these people's followers to move platform. From what I can gather users can still lurk, you just have to pay to be a pos

I switched from Dropbox to Mega a few years ago and they now have mobile apps, sync clients for multiple operating systems and decent browser extensions in addition to a more generous storage allowance. There is also the added benefit of en

Sorry for the meta post but I don't understand why your comment was down voted. It seems a few people in this thread have been down voting any criticism of DDG, which is a misuse of the feature.

I was pleased to discover the Qwant[0] search engine recently and have found its results to be a significant improvement over those provided by DuckDuckGo. It also has some support for bangs (but the bang must be at the start of the query).

Don't get me wrong, I see the reasoning, my comment was just me musing on how I'd have to break the habits I've learnt from other languages.

I thought the same, although there appears to be some white-space rules that I think would quickly become a nuisance to me, I'm referring here mainly to the mandatory space before certain semicolons, after the brackets in main etc. alt

I came to post a similar comment. I wouldn't demand the original article title be changed, but I think the HN link title should be changed because it's very misleading.

I don't expect it to take off but if it does it will be interesting to see how a casual community can possibly come from constrained discussion.

No, at least not for me. The HN website as is loads very quickly as it's extremely lightweight. Although it doesn't have the greatest mobile UI, the website is at least functional on mobile thanks to a minimalist interface. On my

I could very well be feeding a troll here but I found your point, frankly, ludicrous. Cox is itself a valid word [1] with meaning entirely unrelated to the male genitalia. I don't think the library was named after, for instance, a cert
