is it common to roadmap features your team can’t deliver at their current size? that sounds like a problem. also, the team that takes on the most work but does it poorly getting the promotions and bonuses also sounds like a problem. both of

Came to post this myself. What I love about Helix is that it just works out of the box. Install your toolchain and LSP and off you go. I absolutely do not want to have to write my own Vim config, or install some tool that configures a ton o

glad to see the other comments getting it right. relative pitch is a much more useful skill than perfect pitch. this mom sounds insufferable.

for this to be money laundering, the recipient would need to be in on it. so are you accusing the ladybird developer of money laundering or are you not sure what money laundering is?

what you’re describing isn’t all that compatible with vc funding. reddit is what, 10 rounds and $1.3b deep? they certainly cannot say, “hey board, we decided we’d like to just be a modest profit company”. spez would be out of a job. the oth

what does “win” even mean in this context? i think there’s about a 0% chance that reddit reverses course on API access. reddit is obviously not going to cease to exist. the only question is how much, if at all, the blackout and departing us

there is human cost associated with operating this that s3 and other fully managed object stores don’t have. there is just no reality where you build your own service for this with better reliability, less management, and less maintenance t

do people actually use this? i mean, sure, it seems like it bundles features and workflows that “gamers” would be into, but i’m genuinely curious if the juice is worth the squeeze. it just seems like it’s pandering to the intended audience

yes, but the point you’re replying to is that people aren’t going to bother changing the OS, not that it’s too hard to install it. switching your desktop to Linux is still niche. i think it being niche and also “the most popular it’s been”
