Also 386s are very resistant to radiation, I believe they still use them on the ISS for that reason (a radiation-hardened version but still)

By the way, I usually use the AI for filtering, summarisation etc. Not for facts (like "what would be the best model of CPU I could buy" or "what is the capital of Estonia". When I do that I will link it to web searche

The Radeon VII Pro is not a consumer card though and works well with ROCm. It even has datacenter "grade" HBM2 memory that most Nvidias don't have. The continuing support has been dropped but ROCm of course still works fine.

For me good enough is usually good enough (and pretty excellent). Unless I ask for something really complex, then I use perplexity in research mode. But I have everything in OpenWebUI so I can choose with a touch of a button. Sometimes I wo

Nice one. 28800 pounds :O For most of us makers it's very hard to make money as our things sell for so little that it's like 3€ per hour to make them. Kudos to this guy, he really does his marketing right.

Yes abliteration is one method of uncensoring models, that's why. I think there's more.

I like it. Just block anything that uses it, and you have cleaned up a big part of your internet and lost nothing of value.

Correct, I'm just very kinky/bdsm/polyamorous and so are all my friends. I do have a sexuologist though, and I often write stuff up for her when she asks me to. Where the AI also comes in sometimes.

I don't use hosted AI much. But one of the reasons I like AI is that I can ask it something like "Hmm I don't like how this sounds, can you formulate it another way, more colloquial?" and it'll take that into accoun

Oh yeah I was mainly thinking about smaller models because I want to run them locally. Not just because of the abliteration. I just want everything personal to run locally only. I don't trust any of the cloud companies.

Hmm? For me it's still the best model for general use. That I've tried at least. Gemma and phi I didn't like so much. Qwen is chinese and I've had bad experiences with those (reverting to Chinese when they get confused).

It's not just erotic role play that the censorship affects. My life involves a lot of sexual discussions and that means that everyday talk, chat summaries, email rewrites or translations will cause the model to shut down. I do the latt

Wow that's not bad. It's strange, for me it is much much slower on a Radeon Pro VII (also 16GB, with a memory bandwidth of 1TB/s!) and a Ryzen 5 5600 with also 64GB. It's basically unworkably slow. Also, I only get 100%

The problem I've had with Chinese models is that when they get confused they revert to Chinese which is just gibberish to me of course. American models revert to English in those situations but that's fine for me. And models can b
