I guess it means you can look where you're going at all times + have the data visible constantly rather than in intermittent glances.

I also was using component tempalte files although the issue was apparent when returning to any component with any degree of complexity. Regular CSS class names tend to give you a bit of an insight into the role of each div whereas atomic c

I got interested in atomic CSS a few years ago and used it on numerous projects for over a year. In the end I actually found the real world application of it a step backwards. What you gain in getting up and running quickly you loose in mai

This looks great. Just wondering if you can share any details on what hosting / architecture you're running this on? Is each user's space running in it's own container or everything in the same DB for example?

I actually went through a phase after realising this of outputing strings of utility classes to named variables to essentially emultate the benfits of CSS class names. My next realisation was that I might as well just be writing plain CSS.

I tried the 'functional CSS' approach a few years ago and whilst at first I found it pleasurable to use, I ultimately grew to hate it. The biggest pain-points for me were exposed when returning to older code -- parsing the interte

I can't help but think this ad will make people appreciate Apple's policy change more. I'm pretty sure people don't think of sacrificing their privacy as some kind of public service to small businesses.

I'm actually inclined to disagree here -- I think after a couple of beers it's reasonable to assume someone might be better at pool. Firstly you're both physically and mentally more relaxed and often more confident too so I t

Out of curiosity, can you not get some of these benefits by simply running your fan more / at lower temperatures and instead sacrifice a bit of noise instead of the performance?

One place I've found this to be especially true is when writing CSS. I went through a phase years ago of trying to abstract any repeated styles into 'clever' oocss patterns but in the end it's often lead to a confusing m

Nice to see this release. Still using rethink in a production app so any momentum is great to see.

I've used a similar approach in the past but found that having styles for each component also defined in vaious 'contexts' became quite confusing. Using modifier classes defined alongside the component I found to be easier to

Does the 10hrs / day of actual working time described in the post seem exesive to anyone else? Half this time would typically be a very productive day for me and much more usually leads to a very unproductive following day.

This seems like it might be a bit of a contrarian view based on the other comments but I use them to get a quick overall sense of a project. Generally I'm interested in using projects with a relatively proven history and a good communi

+1 for pomodoro technique. I find one of the additional benefits it has is that it gives you a means of quantifying your day. Often I can't remember exactly what I've been working on but knowing that I've completed x amounts

Isn't this also partly due to the post modern nature of fashion and culture over the last 15 years. Everything seems to be a reference in some form or another to the preceding 4 decades.

Why not disable images too? I'd suspect they add most weight to the average site and are likely just as superfluous as all the javascript.

I find one of the quickest and easiest ways to greatly improve working with WordPress (in my opinion) is to just install the timber plugin. This allows you to write template files in twig and does a good job of cleaning up the mess of HTML
