Have a trial for a period you think is enough for the company to know they'll get value out of using your product and post that ask for a licence fee. To start with I suggest you give the MVP product for free. The users will be paying

Exactly. I am in India and I frequently get SMS and calls about web hosting services, they use the name and number I provide while registering the domain. It is definitely not shady if I want my info hidden from these spammers.
