I use it to refresh some engineering maths I have forgotten (ODE, numerical schemas, solving linear equations, data sciences algorithms, etc) and the explanations are most of the time great and usually 2 or 3 prompts give me a good overview

Thanks, so that video (wasn't much impressed, just some "tile compression"). My question was more about the quality of the rendering (or other challenges) than about the speed of rendering.

maybe I'm wrong, but rust is still using LLVM. When I see that list of benefits, I wonder why rust is still on LLVM... (honest question, I use rust everyday and I'm happy with it, except for compilation times :-) )

currently, when you want to write a sahder, you have to use a specific language for that (gl/sl or some other). That's a pain because that language is C-like and most likely pretty close to your host language (C,Rust,Zig whatever)

does a vector tile use more or less memory than a raster tile ? I mean, on average, in OSM.

as much as I love Debian (been a faithful user since 25 years or so, no more Windows at home since then), that Windows ability is just really cool and Debian is still not on par I believe...

I'd like to know what is the future of font rendering (according to you) as far the as the quality of the result is concerned (iow, my question is not about speed). For example, are there new way to handle antialiasing or is it a solve

You couldn't know, but my job is 50% about optimizing computational workloads. But many times, when questionning my users, it happens that they want an optimisation for some code that will run 2 or 3 times. So eventhough they'll h

Lower bound tells you how much it's worth to improve the SOTA. It gives you a hint that you can do better. So it's more like polar star. Maybe not directly practical, but it will lead tons of people in the right direction.

Before optimizing, I always balance the time I'll need to code the optimization and the time I (or the users of my code) will effectively gain once the optimization is there (that is, real-life time, not CPU time). If I need three week

From the article abstract: "All experiments were done with safety precautions (e.g., sandboxing, human oversight)." Do the authors really believe "safety" is necessary, that is, there is a risk that somethign goes wrong
