What you are looking for sounds a lot like TMUX + Bash (scripted tmux setup). Then you can run that inside of iTerm. Tmux supports tabs and dynamic splits nicely via ncurses. Also check out tmux ressurect [1] for saving tmux session persist

Under the hood for mobile is the same as Ubuntu Desktop. Unity is built for mobile devices, and works great. But underneath that, you have a full linux environment.

For fast development iterations, running webpack's own web server is used for development. Where django would instead load a custom JS endpoint in development, and use the compiled file for production. Webpack static compile each time

Even though Vulkan for would be of little gain for the web due to all the security considerations required, a WebGL backend should still be able to benefit from being built on Vulkan instead. Due to the refinement of the pipeline and memory

Not Dark energy, but perhaps Dark matter. Basically , they are speculating about a new type of neutrino which is being indicated by a loss of neutrinos we cannot account for. Neutrino Loss = Inability to detect = New type of neutrino = Dark

Not a fan of "magic" scaling across multiple servers. I'm not sure I would get the amount of control to squeeze the most performance out of this "OS" (edit: in terms of data locality for "big computation")

Is this going to make it easier to get luajit on a stock nginx server? I just see a single bullet point regarding "Dynamic modules", anywhere I can get more info?

That analogy is actually pretty weak. When you buy Chevy Bolt, your not expecting to use TLS to securely lock your doors. However, if ACM is compromised by a "spy agency" — then anything you intended to be protected by a secure HT

Here in Thailand, instant bank transfers at any ATMs cost about 25 baht— roughly $0.75 USD per transaction. With such an easy method of sending money between people, it's extremely handy. Compared to what I'm used to in Canada, on

I wonder how this compares to Vitess, which youtube has been using to scale their MySql databases for years. Which is also written in Go. Perhaps this is a direct competitor to Vitess, but I agree the description is in dire need of some spe

Exactly, and it was also driven by the fact that it was easy for the Unity guys to get their existing toolchain building on NaCls LLVM toolchain. Now with ASM.js maturing, its another great opportunity. Also we saw Unity developed a target

They have already proved (Lego Starwars demo IIRC) that they can target the NaCL runtime for Chrome (and ARM Chromebooks). But I'm not sure when/if they plan to release that publicly.

Unity is a tools company. This is just another target platform for them, so they can sell more licenses for their software.

Great to see they are planning to roll out SSL (perfect forward secrecy) even to the Free Tier. These days with SSL certs becoming ridiculously cheap (hard to beat Free), I wish everybody would just go enable HTTPS by default. But the extra

You need to make sure you have selected a compatible (cluster something, and green perhaps) AMI first. Then the GPU instances will be available in the list. Ran into the same thing myself ;)

The plan is to use to the interpreter while on iOS and the JIT while on platforms that allow it. So, no they don't have a JIT on iOS. The sand boxing on iOS does not allow for the low level dynamic code generation needed by JITs to ope

Unfortunately such a plugin as this would be of type NPAPI. Which Google has just announced that they are starting to deprecate and have stopped accepting submissions to the Chrome Web Store for NPAPI plugins. So there's never going to

What I'm after for typed annotations is integration with the closure compiler to give me static checking, so in large codebases I get that type safety, even in javascript. Thanks anyways though

What's the chance of also getting optional Type Annotations into CoffeScript core as well? As this would greatly help the closure compiler do optimisations, and since it is opt-in to add the typed parameter and would only produce a javascri
