I've only used it once or twice, but Fastmail has something like this as part of their lowest paid tier.

Let's walk before we run. Getting Shinkasen-style trains in the USA should be step 1.

I used to live in Southern California. Many bus stops have no bench and no weather protection. It can get brutally hot without shade, and since it's a drought area, lots of people get caught without clothing for inclement weather. I th

You may need some therapy. To contrast: I'm 36, don't have 6-figure savings, no house, am married, but haven't lived in other countries or founded any startups, but I also value time with friends much more than career achieve

The Raspberry Pi 400 would be a modern day equivalent. It can run PICO-8, which is a fictional emulator that can make very constrained games, Sonic PI which is a live coding musical environment, and I think the Arduino building block softwa

Unless it's just speech, most people can. Even then the low level noise can make a podcast tiring to listen to.

I'm pretty sure someone else wrote the headline. That thesis never comes through in the actual article.

I’m too rudimentary of a developer. What’s a Userland? What is this doing that writing apps as Go executables doesn’t or can’t do?

True, but keeping to the spirit of the comment I replied to, I’d prefer it to be HTML only. Something like <template src=“header.html”> and it just uses a relative or absolute path.

This reminds me of a blog post that I can’t find anymore. I sort of remember the title being a riff on “Cooking for One” but it might have been “Programming for One”. It was about the author making a little photo sharing app just for their

I guess I just took it as another possibility in a society of nearly infinite ones. I did use material from that encounter in running a horror RPG, so in a way I'm kind of thankful for it.

I have an Ergodox-EZ. I originally ordered it with loud clicky key switches but have converted to a much quieter switch with a weaker spring. I chose that model because of the columnar layout. I really only use about 48 keys on it due to th

I'd like it if you added some context or narrative here. Feel free to write whatever but here's some questions I usually have: Have you tried to develop games before and this is your first actual release? Is this something you did

The TV show DEVS has a computer that looks a lot like those first three links. I always thought their prop was a set designer's imagination run wild, not actually based in what quantum computers look like.
